Mission

During our time in Poland, we hope to expand our understanding of advertising through hands-on experiences in the global marketplace. Through ethnographic explorations of consumers in this former Soviet-bloc nation, we hope to gain a better grasp of international advertising practices and the country as a whole.

We will spend two weeks in Poland visiting local and multi-national advertising agencies, media companies and public relations firms, experiencing local cultures and visiting historical sites.

Confused about our blog’s title? During out stay in Poland, our group will be paying special attention to advertising related to exercise equipment and health club memberships. We’ll be watching how people view and consume products related to working out.
